Almost!

Nearly there, still some bits and pieces to put back, but the guts of it are all back, including my machines woo hoo - I'm sorta a bit lost without them.

The shelving was all built from mdf by Shane and his Dad to specifications by me to fit certain things. Rolls of fabric, nappy cuts, magazines etc. Some of the shelving you've seen before as it's been up for awhile. So the nappy cut holder and the cutting bench were built this time.

The flooring was reclaimed from the Gap Storms in 2008, so whilst it's not perfect and bit scratched and dented, it's a vast improvement on a concrete floor and I feel better for not adding to landfill.

Paint is Sea Angel.

Still of course things to add, some photos of my gorgeous cherubs. Some bins for rubbish as we've moved everything about and there aren't enough. More containers for threads etc and some touches of me.

I've already found a sacred bamboo and I'll hopefully another couple, I love how they look.

And now the reveal photos, you've seen the before posts and now ta da ......

The wall of lush at the back, and the cutting table which is  1800 long by 1200 deep

Snap station for Mr Cherub

Wall of lush and my first published design in Australian Smocking and Embroidery 'Child of Nature' which has been reconfigured 3 times in different issues.

Sewing machine station, the Bernina is missing and I still have threads to sort and put up.  The empty stand was made by an elderly neighbour of one of my smocking students.

Computer desk and the semi-industrial sewing space, (still hiding in Sarah's room)

More ice-cream and books

So I have no sewing room, talk about getting cut off at the knees, so I'm trying to find things that I can physically do that won't exhaust me, but still being sorta productive, I don't do sitting around doing nothing much well. Ask anyone ...... especially Shane.

So i've been trolling the library for books. These I had ordered in from another one, as ours seems distinctly lacking in these types.

The self sufficiency one is sorta a dud in that it's UK based, but the basics would be the same. I haven't had a chance to look at the bready ones just yet.

And last nights churn - Mango with a raspberry swirl. Mangos from a box bought at a good price, peeled, and pureed and pop into the freezer. Raspberries from the Farmer's Market. Jeni's recipe yet again.

Bread and Ice Cream

Well I want to get back to more bread baking, so here it is Sunflower and Oat.  I'm using the bread maker on pizza, just to mix the dough after a triple batch of pizza dough kneaded by hand nearly did me in - man am I unfit at the moment.

It's a Betty Crocker recipe for Bread Machines, but it works super, mind you I've tweaked it a bit as I found after the first time I made it, that it needed a wee bit more water.  This one is 1/3 wholemeal, 2/3 white bread flower.  I forgot to add in the sunflowers when I kneaded it to bread loaf shape, so they just got sprinkled on top.

And then Jeni's vanilla ice-cream with salted caramel swirl - it needs no further words.

Empty

That's what my sewing room is, and I feel pretty lost without her.

I'm sure it will be worth it - new floor, instead of cement

A ceiling and more shelves.

And a brand new cutting table, the right height, with lots of shelves underneath.

I can't wait to show you.  She's been painted in Sea Angel, it's a lovely colour and  a lovely name.

So this is what she looks like all empty and forlorn.

Oh and this is what my rumpus room currently looks like lol

And that's my gorgeous man, buildering as Katherine calls it.

We had some delays to start, so it's only been started this week.
Next stocking for CK will be at Gossamer Dreams on there 15th. Stock should start to appear in store about a week to 10 days after that.
