Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

Another Waitlister bites the dust.

The brief, the tattoo tiger print and black minky, coloured microfleece inner.

It's such a busy print, and very boyish to my mind, so I wanted sleek and clean looking lines. The little pocket on the back is not just a decoration, but works as a pocket, it's going to it's new home, with a chocolately surprise inside!

Around the World in 80 days

This one took me some time, when fabrics arrive from customer they sit on my sewing table until inspiration strikes, sometimes it strikes immediately and sometimes it takes a few days. This was one of those, but I think you'll agree that when the mood struck it was worth the wait.

A very busy print, with dragons, ballons, ships and buildings and I made the most of the waves, lots of minky colours to represent the waves and positioning the boat so it looks like it sailing across the ocean.

Don't you hate it when

You sew through your finger sigh! I've only done it once before and that was this year too, but this time it's worse. I thought I could keep sewing but it appears not. I never realised that I use my middle finger for so much sewing work, but there you have it I do. So no more sewing for me today - I tried to solider through but that just ended up in an oopsie sigh!

If you'd like to be in the lottery for the said oopsie it's reduced in price, just pop along here

Other than that - it appears that my newsletter list is under repair and should be fixed shortly yah!!!

I'm stocking tonight at 7.30 Queensland time at the Store They are mostly girly tonight but I have boys ones going up tomorrow night and then the leftovers including a couple of splitsies and size 1 randomly throughout the week.

Newsletter 18th June

Well it appears that not everyone is getting my newsletter darn it all - I've put in a support ticket to my provider but I'm not holding my breath. Might have to change to a new program.

But for those that missed it, here you go.

Well it's a cold and gloomy day here in Brisbane but the Cherub's are working hard to get through our long list of semi-customs and working on some instocks.

I'm hoping to stock either late Sunday or Monday - keep your eyes on our Facebook Fan Page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cherubs-Kiss/120010514706200 for updates.

My poor little overlocker is having her bits serviced as we speak and I hope to have her back tomorrow, if not the nappies that I stock will still need their boosters done, so please allow a couple of extra days after the stocking for posting to be done, but all nappies should be posted by end of next week.

School holidays are about to start here in Queensland so stock will be limited whilst the Cherubs have some famiy time. Shane for once has some holidays during school holidays and we have some family outings planned. Again just check my blog or Facebook Page for updates.

Stay safe for those that are travelling away for the school holidays and have a super weekend.

Cheers

The Jungle Book

Another semi-custom nappy bites the dust

And congratulations to Helen N for winning the Splitsie Giveaway from the Harry's Rocky Road Red Kite Giveaway!

The Colour Purple

Made with the awesome Saffron Craig range of fabrics, this is one gorgeous nappy.

The front is made from Huckleberry Minky - so sad this colour has been discontinued it was one of my favs and now I have barely any left at all :( And two of the prints from the Forest Elements range.

And the back, machine appliqued by hand with a funky varigated cotton and birds on birds satin stitched on - it's such a large stunning print, that it didn't need much in the way of extras to make it stand out from the crowd.

Oops and I forgot to say stocking from Tuesday - keep an eye on the facebook fan page for updates for just this week :)

Happy Birthday Sarah

Well just about 17 years and 1 hour ago, my gorgeous 2nd daughter came into the world. Nearly 4 weeks early but gorgeous and precious just as she is today.

Happy Birthday my darling Sarah and I hope you had a wonderful day!!

Her request for Birthday dinner. Chicken Pasta, Garlic bread and a cheesecake - any kind. Man these kids can't decided - so with much tooing and frooing, Strawberry Cheesecake was chosen. And if was delicious - it was a baked cheesecake for a change.

Pressies included quite a few Pandora Beads from famiy and friends, lovely hand creams and room oil wick thingys (I am hopeless trying to remember the names) skinny black jeans and chocolate cake baked by boyfriend Jack !! We still have some cupcakes to come but we are all too full from Cheesecake, so we might save them till tomorrow.

My Creative Space

There are just never enough hours in the day lately sigh!

I'm trying my darndest to make some little crochet squares for a charity project and let's just say I am not going well with things, but I am trying I promise.

My bagalicious club arrived today and it's so wonderful, I love the colours it even has a stitchery woo hoo, so I am going to do this, last months Bagalicious bag is over 1/2 finished but you know me and yellow.

And I had to go and buy vlisoflix today as I needed a slightly lighter weight adhesive to the Applikay Wonder that I have been using, and of course you can't just buy vlisoflix can you - so the sweet little fabric crept into the basket and then oh no Janelle Wind's new book Pieces of Me popped in as well and I love it - I think I can make everything in the book, which doesn't usually happen, I can see quite a few birthday/Christmas Gifts in it.

You can find more creative spaces over at Kootoyoo

The first Harvest

Of our home grown veges. Not much to start with, but enough for our dinner, they are a mix of asian lettuces, I'm sure some of the children *read all* will be adverse to trying them but meh! this is what we are having.

All the veges were planted on Mother's Day and are doing great. I did plant 6 beans seeds and unfortunately only 3 came up, but I'll just plant some more when i can find where I put the packet.

Shane and I spent the afternoon (with my coughing and hacking away) making two more beds, awaiting the tip truck full of dirt arriving on Monday - yeh I know you'd think we have enough dirt but nope it seems not.

Then I have to make a visit to a turf farm to procure some turf, so my backyard is not a constant quagmire of mud *read I can't stand having more pants ruined by the little miss K jumping into puddles*

Off to their new homes

Super girly for a wee little one!

A size 1 Auriel and a Small Quick Dry HoneyBoy!

Inner of hand dyed Bamboo Velour for super squishiness

And then black with cars for a little man!!

I think I need to call it 'The cars that ate Paris'

Bali Bag and a Milo

Well it was a friend's birthday recently and although it was a little slow making it to her, it's arrived now, so I can post piccies. It's a bali bag which came about as I was sent the incorrect fabric from a co-op, so what was I to do with strips of fabric?? Well make a Bali Bag - I'm not going to say I'm going to rush out and make a gazzilion of them lol!! But I did have fun.

And a very very late new born baby present oops!! Little Phoenix is now 4mths old, but I knit very slow lol!! Hopefully he'll still fit it. I of course never do things according to how I should (Tikki stop reading now!!) and I used thicker wool, but the same sized needles, so thanks to some help from Robyn and Ali, I managed, first time doing cables and all and the wool was such a divine colour. I *think* it came from Monster Knits, but I can't be sure.
